Said to be a movement with no clear leaders as well as demands, it was initiated by a Canadian activist group known as Adbusters. Its driving force is the perceived social and economic inequality resulting from the great disparity in the distribution of wealth, thus the now famous 1% representing the biggest percentage of wealth controlled by a very few and the remaining 99% representing the rest of the population who are not as privileged. There is a belief among many that this situation has been made possible by the extraordinary influence the financial services sector has on government and the unabaited greed of certain corporations leading to widespread corruption.

The movement and its actions received mixed reactions although several surveys tend to show that the approval rates are more consistent than the disapproval. Disapproval mainly came from people who believed that they earned their spot among the wealthiest through honest and hard work. Concerns about sanitation, noise, and traffic because of the 2-month occupation of the park also partially account for the disapproval. Over-all however, the sentiments of the movement are shared by many people all over the world as evidenced by the growing list of Occupy Communities spread across the globe. Clearly, the Occupy Wall Street protest which was successfully removed from the park last November 17, 2011 is not the end of the story.

There are a number of topics people say you shouldn’t discuss, but religion may be number one. With that being said, businesses also need to realize that a diverse workforce is extremely common in today’s society. Chances are you will have people of at least two different religions working together. If this is the case in your company, here are just a few tips for dealing with religious differences at work.

Work Towards a Common Goal

It can be easy to see the differences in people, but can be just as easy to see similarities. One way you can make this easier for your workers is to set a common goal. It might be to reach a certain number of sales by the end of the month or to gain 100 new customers. You might even have conversations over the uses of installment loans from Great Plains Lending. Either way, a goal is a great way to unite your workforce.

Create Religion Diversity Training Programs

Some people distrust what they don’t understand. Religion diversity training programs help your employees better understand and accept other workers’ religions. It can also be a great way for people to share information about their religion, which can help put a stop to false information.

Understand the Religions of Your Employees

It pays to understand the different religions your employees have. Not only will this help you be more accommodating, but you’ll have a better idea of what to expect. You’ll also be one up on employees who try to sneak in days off, claiming it’s for religious reasons.

Managers Need to Remain Neutral in Conflicts

You may share the same religion as one of your employees, but when a conflict arises, you need to remain neutral. This is when training in religion diversity will come in handy because it will give you the ability to help employees talk out their differences and get a better understanding of how they really aren’t that different from each other.

Managements Should Be Well Educated on Accommodation and the Definition of Religion

It is the law to be accommodating of religion, but what is religion classified as? The Supreme Court defines religion as: “A sincere and meaningful belief that occupies in the life of its possessor a place parallel to the place held by God in the lives of other persons. The religion or religious concept need not include belief in the existence of God or a supreme being to be within the scope of the First Amendment.” When it comes to accommodating religions, managers may be expected to allow certain clothing, days off or provide certain meals in the company’s cafeteria.

Religious differences have caused wars so it should come as no surprise that religion can be difficult to deal with in the workplace. Thankfully, there are things you can do to help ensure your employees have fewer conflicts and that their needs are met.

Various financial experts, as reported by Reuters, Bloomberg and other creditable business news agencies are picking up on a story coming out of China, by CCM International Ltd- representing a new niche investment opportunity.

As the report states:

China has became an important production and consumption base of amino acids around the world with improvement in production technology and demand from downstream industries.

The new edition report, Future of Amino Acid Industry in China, based on the 2001 edition, will provide a comprehensive and deep analysis of China’s amino acid industry in terms of production and consumption situation of amino acid in China in 2010, financial analysis of major producers and import and export situation of amino acid in China. The highlight of this report making the report different from others is that through the financial analysis of major amino acid producers and SWOT analysis of amino acid industry in China, the report will make forecast on supply and demand of amino acid in China to 2015 and help investors better grasp commercial opportunities.

The report also introduced the four production technology, including fermentation method, enzyme method, chemical synthesis method and protein hydrolysis method, among which fermentation method is preferred by most amino acid producers around the world thanks to its low production cost. Nowadays, about 22 of amino acids have realized industrial production through fermentation method around the world. Among these amino acids, four major amino acids (methionine, lysine, tryptophan and threonine) are used as additives in feed industry.

With rapid growth of health care products’ market in the world, demand for special kinds of amino acids, such as taurine and citrulline, is increasing all the time; even some amino acids for medicine use are also applied in health care products. Glutamic acid represents the largest product segment within the amino acids market and are mainly used in human food as glutamate including MSG. More information on the major market and the development of other amino acids products can all be expected in CCM’s new report.

This is great news for companies in this sector, such as Ajinomoto!

Web hosting has made it possible for anyone from anywhere in the world to host their own designed websites on the server that they provide for exchange of a small amount of money and hence make these websites accessible worldwide through World Wide Web. It is because of the advancement of such technologies that such services have become so popular in the recent times.

Many websites on the net allow you to share videos as well as download them free. You can also upload your own video free at all these websites and make it accessible for any person sitting in any corner of the world. All this is possible because of web hosting of such sites that makes it accessible over the World Wide Web.

Now through live streaming and video uploads you can share your video in the matter of a few seconds and all you need to have for that is a simple internet connection. You can also make your own website where you can upload videos but when you go for hosting such a site on the internet then you should at first read web hosting reviews on various sites in order to determine which service will be best for you. Setting up a website for uploading videos needs a web hosting service with relatively large bandwidth and storage space and hence you must decide which web hosting service is best for you. Web hosting reviews available on the net are generally impartial and you may rely on them for taking your decision.

It is difficult to imagine one’s life without the intervention of technology. It is no longer a marathon of lines of code written for a program to run and limited to some technology geeks. It wide and open to anyone and every irrespective of the domain they belong to.

It has got more to do with simplifying the tasks and facilitate quick turnaround. Gone are the days when someone would scribble some lines on a paper and expect delivery in five days of time and wait for another five days to receive a response. Thanks to technology, the message reaches across in a matter of seconds.

Messages are just an example.
From the time, we wake up until we go to bed and beyond it is technology that accompanies us in varied forms. The advents of technology are not limited office alone, they have entered our kitchen and bedrooms as well including but not limited to simple machines such as coffee makers in the morning to laptops during office hours and air conditioners while we are fast asleep or at office. Thanks to technology that makes one no more limited by the time zone differences to move ahead with ideas and programs or be able to talk and see their near and dear ones while not being near to them physically.

Today, technologies discovered largely determine the positioning of a nation in the world map.
The more the advancements in technology, the more we are expecting from it. Gone are the days when one had to spend a fortune to think of webhosting. Wait no further, cheap websites are now available at the click of the button and voila!

Mobile phone companies are earning a lot of money through its added services, particularly text messaging. Text messaging is the most used mobile phone feature right after voice calls. Actually, I think text messages are more commonly used rather than voice calls.

This doesn’t mean people should send text messages wherever they are. I’ve seen people texting even while driving, what seems to be a physical impossibility is being done with impunity by a lot of people. Thankfully, more rational minds are beginning to see the dangers of texting while driving.

US Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood wants to make it illegal to text while driving and he has publicly denounced the practice with the same level of gravity as drunk driving and wearing seatbelts.

About 16 percent of deadly crashes that happened in 2008 involved a driver whose attention was distracted in one way or another. This is an 11 percent increase from figures posted in 2005.

This is the right move to make. I’ve seen motorists who text while driving and they are road hazards. They’re so dangerous on the road that I want to shove their phones down their throats.

The present day use of superior technology has enabled web hosting firms to reduce the cost of hosting thereby making hosting very cheap. Cheap hosting services offer you many things, apart from being cheap. They have some very good features and considering that you pay only a small amount to acquire them it is a very good deal indeed.

There are few significant benefits of cheap web hosting:

Cheap hosting services are ideal for novices, who are trying to make a mark in web world. Though, you may not be able to get any advanced and superior features associated with a superior hosting service, the basic features that come along with cheap hosting are enough for a beginner.

Cheap hosting services offer a large storage space, considering the amount you pay for hosting. You normally get a minimum of 5 GB space and a maximum anywhere of around 50 GB or more at times. Such a large storing space is enough for any beginner to start his web adventure.

Cheap web hosting services these days offer an increased bandwidth; a minimum of 100 GB of bandwidth is tagged with cheap hosting services.

The best part about cheap hosting is that a number of small business houses gain out of the cheap services. A small business house can choose to create a website by paying a very small amount. These are the benefits associated with cheap hosting that may help everyone.

That could very well be the tale of all the other successful people in the Internet/technology industry today, but Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook is the latest nerd to have caught the whole world’s attention. If things go the way they have been going in the past years, the world might as well be called Zuckerbergville.

There is no ignoring the fact that his social network has spread to the four corners of the world, earning him gazillions of dollars in the process. The users of Facebook are just so many that the social network has had to create its own data centers and not rely on an external data center service. As if that were not enough, a movie has been made about the creation and the rise of Facebook. Mind you, even real nerds and geeks – not just the wannabes out there – have given the movie a thumbs up! It doesn’t stop there. In true capitalist fashion, Facebook is going to have its very own mobile phone in the market some time this year – or so the rumor mill goes.

That rumor has been flying around for a long time now, but recently, someone stumbled upon a patent for a mobile phone that seems to support the rumors. We don’t know if it is 100 percent accurate, but hey, if it ain’t world domination that Zuckerberg is aiming for, then I don’t know what it is. Do you?

From Arizona, not that customs officials didn’t appreciate art but the find they got was truly one to behold, 90 pounds of marijuana stuffed into the frames of several paintings that was supposed to be smuggled into the US. The daring ploy to smuggle the drugs almost succeeded till a nosy dog put his nose on something within the designated art that was enough cause for further examination and viola, x-ray reveals the marijuana leaves contained within the frames, sending the man into custody wasting seemingly very good art and very good frames. Just goes to show you that the need for cash makes people do stupid things.
Still in the US, Detroit police was called to a scene that would have been one to see indeed, an organized pillow fight that was to be held at the campus Maritus Park which they promptly halted, to the dismay of the organizers who questioned the legalities of owning the popular bedtime piece. Their remark, it wasn’t actually the fight they were afraid of or anybody getting hurt, but the millions of feathers that the city would have to deal with!
From Germany this time, GOD knows how clean and healthy teeth is something to smile about, right? Not this time, for police are after a man who had an unusually plump jacket. When questioned, he hit the poor woman at the store and 68 tubes of the teeth cleaning agent was sent all over the place. The police only had this to say, “Maybe he had a lot of bad teeth?!?” (well enough for a couple of years savings on those pearly whites). Lastly, from the ever busy city that is New York, a man who was to propose to his future wife almost turned into tragedy when the darned ring fell off the walkway of the Brooklyn Bridge, ending on the roadway, prompting the police to send in units to halt traffic and to just let the guy get on with the business of his proposal after finding his way through the metal work. (call it lucky, or it might be a very very expensive ring!’

That’s what people in Japan are doing, extracting gold from sewer drains that can rival the productivity of most gold mines out there. It used to be despised but the Japanese have again turned smelly gunk into gold of all materials. One of the most expensive commodities on the market, it is mined using million dollar machines in concentrations that gets you something like a few grams per ton of rock. Some of the biggest industrial mines obtain it chemically due to microscopic proportions making it quite a huge endeavor indeed. Location is the key and they have isolated areas that are near metal processing facilities that manufacture electronics and do plating jobs.
If I remember it right, they also extracted precious metals from muffler recycling plants where they dismantle old car mufflers extracting gold, silver, platinum and several other metals. Gold being a very expensive metal is priced at $900+ per ounce and since most major gold mines have exhausted resources, prices are going up and down at an hourly rate. Imagine having gold in your drains and old mufflers, now that’s an idea these people are good at. The Japanese have been known for their technology and unending need for innovation. From chopstick mounted fans to cool your noodles, to automated toilets that wash and heat your behind, they make them all.
Just wondering, if they happen to recover gold from sewers near industrial facilities, aren’t these plants dumping waste water into the drains? Naaah, they are known for their strict obedience to laws and knowing their pride in honor lessens my fears. Just what will they think of next, only they can answer that(hopefully it can extract the carbon dioxide in the atmosphere to heal the planet).
